I’m between three cars right now, that I would use daily in the city. The Audi A3 with the 1.4TFSI, a 2007 Mercedes E350 that is armored or a Jetta just like the one Jkm got but with the 2.0 TSi couple to an Auto .
The Merc has 25k miles and looks very nice, I’m really trying the “new car for the city thing” but I don’t know if I can.

I’d take the Benz.

The E. Brazil is a dangerous place, it seems.

Why is it even a question if an armored Mercedes is in the mix?

A3!
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:24 |

All 3 are good. You should get a used A3, which are either from Mexico or from Germany. The Brazillian built A3 looses the DSG and the fancy suspension. My favorite is the Merc.

Because it’s an older car, with higher mileage. The other ones are either brand new or almost new

It is, but right now only one of my cars is armored, I’ve never had any problems with the Subie or the Citroen.

Why?
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:26 |
|
It’s the one I want the most, the interior looks very nice and I like the looks, but I can’t afford the 1.8T or to have ir armored right now.
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:27 |

I’d say the A3 and one of these -

My favorite is also the Merc, I really didn’t want to be without an armored car but I could if it meant having a reliable new car.

What about my head? It’s where my thoughts are!!

I like the looks of it and it has a v6 and rwd. The thing I don’t like though is that it’s silver (bleh).
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:29 |

I think I can manage to find one in black, not sure in what condition though
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:32 |

But silver is the perfect color to not draw too much attention.

The Merc interior is also pretty bad. You get a lot more tech with the other two.

I have family in São Paulo, they never had an armored car and they never had any problems. But they live in Aclimação, near Jardim Europa and the Avenida Paulista

what do you do or where do you live that means you need an armoured car??

He lives in Brazil where carjacking is a common problem.

I’ve lived in Sao Paulo all my life, my family always had armored cars, since I was a kid, we had some close calls but I personally never had any real problem.

Brazil’s biggest city, armored cars are a common occurrence here.

ah ok, the Merc would be my choice then
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:48 |

In your case, and having no experience of your country whatsoever, go armor. CHERMAN ARMOR!
![]() 02/14/2016 at 14:58 |

I would refer to it as “Ze Panzer!”.
But I’ve never had any real problem with crime in Sao Paulo in either of my cars, even with the armored rangie.

3.5 a diesel?
![]() 02/14/2016 at 15:12 |

Go for the Merc. At least in Canada, Jettas are driven by recently-graduated dental hygienists, and A3 sedans are always leased. The Merc says money and class way better than the other two.

buy a jetta and get it armored?
![]() 02/14/2016 at 15:28 |
|
Nah, we don’t get diesel cars here
![]() 02/14/2016 at 15:29 |
|
Can’t afford that, having it armored would cost about 50% of what the jetta is worth
![]() 02/15/2016 at 00:59 |

shit.
get the benz then. you want the armor.
